Letter of invitation for Canada Visa and Other Sponsorship

Invitation letters are sometimes required for someone – be they a relative, friend or a business partner – who is applying for a Temporary Resident Visa to enter Canada. Letter of invitation are also called letter of support, visitor sponsorship and sponsorship letters.

At Mohammad Shoaib Rauf Notary Public, we can prepare and notarize your letters at our Surrey (Newton) office, and we can notarize letters you already have.

Your letter must include the following information about the foreign national:

Full name.
Date of birth.
The person’s address and telephone number.
Your relationship to the person being invited.
The purpose of the trip.
How long the person you are inviting intends to stay in Canada.
Details on accommodation and living expenses.
The date the person you are inviting intends to arrive and to leave Canada.
Your letter must also include the following information about yourself:
Full name.
Date of birth.
Address and telephone number in Canada.
Occupation.

Whether you are a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident

A photocopy of a document proving your status in Canada. For instance, a Canadian birth certificate if you were born in Canada or a Canadian citizenship card if you are a naturalized citizen. If you are Permanent Resident, you must send proof of your permanent resident status (a copy of your PR card or your IMM 1000 proof of landing).

Schedule an appointment to visit our office for the notarization, and be sure to bring valid identification, including a government-issued ID with a photograph, and a secondary form of identification. Also be prepared to supply any information you want to include in the letter, as well as the visitor’s name, contact information, and passport number.
